Warehouses & Distribution Centers
We have hands-on experience supporting warehouse and logistics environments where downtime stops operations.
The Challenge
Warehouse and distribution center operations depend on technology working flawlessly. RF scanners, vehicle-mounted terminals (VMTs), thermal label printers, and wireless networks must function reliably in challenging industrial environments. When technology fails, receiving stops, picking slows down, shipping delays occur, and productivity plummets. You can't afford downtime during peak shipping periods or busy seasons.
Warehouse IT presents unique challenges—RF coverage must penetrate through metal racking and concrete walls creating dead zones, equipment gets exposed to dust and temperature extremes, and devices need to withstand drops and impacts. IDF and MDF cabinets need proper organization for troubleshooting. Generic IT support that only knows office environments can't handle these specialized requirements.
How We Help
Industrial WiFi & RF Coverage
Proper wireless network design for warehouse environments. We conduct RF site surveys, account for metal racking and concrete obstacles, and deploy industrial-grade access points with PoE switches that eliminate dead zones and maintain reliable coverage throughout your facility.
Barcode Scanners & Mobile Computers (RF Guns)
Setup and support for Honeywell (CK65, CT40, CT30), Zebra (TC52, TC21, MC9300), Datalogic (Memor, Skorpio), and LXE/Intermec devices. We configure RF scanners to connect to your WMS, troubleshoot connectivity in dead zones, and handle RMA replacements.
Vehicle-Mounted Terminals (VMTs)
Installation and support of forklift-mounted computers including Honeywell Thor VM series and Zebra VC8300. We ensure reliable wireless connectivity for moving vehicles, handle mounting hardware, and configure devices for warehouse management systems.
Label Printers & Thermal Printing Systems
Thermal label printer setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Zebra (ZT411, ZT230, ZD620), Sato (CL4NX), and other industrial printers. We ensure 4x6 shipping labels and GS1-128 barcodes meet scanning standards and handle integration with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager.
Network Infrastructure & IDF/MDF Setup
Structured cabling, IDF cabinet organization, MDF equipment installation, and PoE switch configuration designed for warehouse environments. We build networks that handle heavy data traffic from WMS, RF scanners, and automated systems.
WMS Connectivity Support
We support the network infrastructure and devices that connect to WMS platforms like Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, and NetSuite. We configure RF scanners to connect to your WMS, troubleshoot network connectivity issues, and ensure data flows correctly between devices and your WMS.
Shipping System Setup & Network Support
We set up workstations and printers for UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager. We configure thermal label printers for 4x6 shipping labels, troubleshoot network connectivity to shipping systems, and handle printer issues.
Security Cameras & Access Control
IP camera systems for monitoring loading docks, receiving areas, pick zones, and inventory storage. Access control systems to secure restricted areas and track employee movement throughout the facility.
Why IT Matters in Warehousing
When RF scanners fail, receiving and pick operations stop completely. Network problems mean real-time WMS inventory tracking breaks down. Zebra printer issues delay shipments and create carrier charge-backs for bad labels. RF dead zones in racking areas slow picking productivity. In warehousing and distribution, technology downtime directly translates to lost throughput, delayed orders, and unhappy customers. Reliable IT infrastructure isn't optional—it's essential to maintaining operations and meeting SLAs.
Common Scenarios We Handle
RF Dead Zones in Racking Areas
RF scanners and VMTs lose connection in certain warehouse sections, stopping pick operations. We conduct a site survey with spectrum analysis, identify coverage gaps caused by metal racking or building structure, and strategically position industrial access points to eliminate dead zones.
Honeywell CK65 Won't Connect to WMS
RF guns can't communicate with the warehouse management system. We diagnose whether it's a network VLAN issue, scanner configuration problem, WMS connectivity, or RF interference and resolve the root cause to get picking operations running.
Zebra Printer Producing Unreadable Barcodes
Shipping labels print but GS1-128 barcodes won't scan correctly at UPS or receiving locations. We check thermal print density, calibration settings, label stock quality, and barcode symbology configuration to ensure consistently scannable 4x6 labels.
Messy IDF Cabinet / Network Troubleshooting
Your IDF or MDF cabinet has tangled cables making troubleshooting impossible. We organize structured cabling, label connections, document switch ports, and establish proper cable management so future issues can be diagnosed quickly.
Need to Expand RF Coverage to New Warehouse Section
You're adding new racking or expanding the warehouse and need RF coverage extended to new pick zones. We design the expansion with proper AP placement, add PoE drops, and integrate with existing infrastructure without disrupting operations.
